At the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, we often say that public safety is a community effort. One of the best examples of this teamwork is our dedicated and selfless volunteers. We’re proud and grateful to have over 230 volunteers at PSO. All those extra helping hands support our operations, whether on the road or in the office, making a meaningful difference for our members and the community.
Every National Volunteer Month, we not only share our appreciation for our outstanding volunteers but also highlight various ways that people can get involved with our agency. You can read more about our volunteer units and how they help Pasco County in this month’s article.
Your time, skills, and expertise can have a positive impact on where you live. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please visit JoinPSO.com. We hope to hear from you!
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office frequently shares information about scams, and this month, we would like to focus on those specifically targeting seniors.
We urge seniors to be cautious of anyone demanding immediate payment. Do not send cash or gift cards to unknown individuals by mail or through ride-sharing services. Additionally, never provide personal or financial information in response to unsolicited requests from unverified individuals.
Your lifetime of experience has given you the instincts to recognize when something is wrong. If you notice any suspicious activity, please report it to PSO by calling 727-847-8102, option 7.

We’re thankful for our strong partnerships with the local agencies that participated in the training, which have strengthened our unified response to critical incidents.
