HR Director

Taffini Reed, Director of Human Resources, this position oversees the daily operation of the Human Resource Department for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. The Human Resource Department is responsible for maximizing member performance in service of the Agency’s strategic objectives with an enhanced focus on recruitment, retention, employee relations, compensation, benefits and compliance.

Director Reed is a highly motivated multi-unit Operations/Human Resources Management professional with over 15+ years of progressive experience in all facets of HR as a Generalist, Manager and Director. She is effective at building and strengthening collaborative business partner relationships that align and drive performance for operational success. She has directed and managed HR functions for multiple retail facilities and business units. Prior to coming aboard with Pasco Sheriff’s Office, she was employed by Walmart Stores, Inc. for a total of 11 years. She began her career with Walmart Stores, Inc. as a Market Human Resource Manager and served in this capacity for 8 years. Director Reed was responsible for managing all Human Resources activities for 15 stores in SW Florida with 4000+ associates and over $1.5 billion in annual sales. During her tenure as an HR Professional with Wal-Mart Inc. she was offered an opportunity to manage the Operations side of the business in an executive role as a Market Manager for Small Format Stores in Southeast Florida. During her time in this position she directed all operation functions for 11 Walmart Neighborhood Markets with over $350+ million in annual sales and 1500+ associates. Along with her experience at Wal-Mart Inc., she also has served as HR Director, HR Manager and generalists for other Not for Profit Agencies within the State of Florida.

Director Reed is a Florida native born in Gainesville, Florida and raised in Olustee, Florida and a graduate of Baker County High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Bethune Cookman College and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Webster University. She also received her certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute along with her SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from the Society of Human Resource Management. Director Reed enjoys spending her time away from work by volunteering and serving others throughout her community. She has been married to her supporting husband of 9 years, they have two daughters and two grandchildren.
