Major Stacey Jenkins supervises the Security Services Section of the Court Services Bureau at the Sheriff’s Office.
Major Jenkins began her career with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in April 1991 as a Detention Deputy at the Land O’ Lakes Detention Facility.
She was appointed to corporal in December 1994 and assigned as a training specialist to assist with training members throughout the agency in subjects like defensive tactics. In 1995, she obtained her law enforcement certification and became a dual certified deputy.
Jenkins was promoted to sergeant in September 1995, returning back to the Detention Bureau, now known as the Court Services Bureau, and was assigned as the administrative sergeant. In this position, she was responsible for overseeing the Detention Field Training Officer Program and newly-hired trainees attending the Corrections Academy. She also supervised the inmate programs section, front desk, mail room and inmate visitation.
In May 2000, Jenkins was promoted to lieutenant. In this capacity she supervised the Operations Division (Inmate Housing) and the Administrative Division as the Support Services lieutenant over the Culinary Unit, Commissary, Programs, front desk, lobby, mailroom, loading dock, laundry and support ordering functions (requisitions). She also supervised the Court Processing Section which consisted of Fugitive Warrants and Civil Process.
Major Jenkins has been an adjunct instructor since 1994 for law enforcement and corrections academies. She teaches general topics but her true passion is focused on teaching new recruits in the high liability area of defensive tactics.
Major Jenkins was awarded a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University in August 2016 with a concentration in legal studies..
