Jennifer Christensen began her career at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office on August 23, 1993. She started as a road patrol deputy and served the Pasco County community for 2 years. Shortly thereafter, Jennifer was promoted to Corporal and transferred to the Youth Services Unit. This unit focused on truancy and minor undercover operations that involved illegal sales to minors. Approximately 6 months later, Inspector Christensen transferred to Vice and Narcotics and was given the opportunity to work undercover operations. She worked as an undercover detective for 4 years. Her duties entailed controlled undercover narcotics purchases, search warrants, and wire taps. Jennifer continued her career as a detective and transferred to the Major Crimes Unit where she investigated homicides, sex crimes, and other violent crimes for 12 years. From Major Crimes, Jennifer expanded her knowledge as a law enforcement deputy and began to investigate administrative cases. She transferred to the Professional Standards Unit and has been there since 2013. Inspector Christensen was promoted to Inspector of the Professional Standards Unit where she currently holds this position, and she is enrolled at Saint Leo University finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
