Captain Foshey began her law enforcement career by attending and graduating from the Pasco Hernando State College Police Academy in 1994. Shortly thereafter, she started her career at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office where she was assigned as a patrol deputy on the west side of the county. During her career at the Sheriff’s Office, Captain Foshey has held investigative and/or leadership assignments Field Training, School Resource, Juvenile Investigations, Missing Persons, Domestic Violence, Property Crimes, Major Crimes, and the Critical Incident Team
Captain Foshey was promoted in 2016 to captain of the School Resource Unit and Child Protective Investigations. In 2017, she transitioned into the role of the Sheriff’s Office Training Unit supervisor and the Director of Pasco Hernando State College Law Enforcement and Corrections Academy.
Captain Foshey was awarded the law enforcement officer of the year by the West Pasco Bar Association. She was also awarded a Purple Heart by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Regional Critical Incident Team (TBRCIT), and a Pasco eSchool Criminal Justice Academy Board member.
Captain Foshey was raised in Tampa, where she was involved in a number of activities, to include being a drum major at her high school, and being involved in drum and bugle corps and the University of Florida marching band. She received her B.S. from the University of Florida in psychology, and her M.B.A. from the University of South Florida in management. Captain Foshey enjoys spending time away from work with her twin children and traveling on adventures with them. She also stays active in her church and community.
