
School Alert: River Ridge High School
Following a thorough investigation of the campus, the threat was determined to be an unfounded swatting call. Pasco Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the source of the hoax threat directed at the school. There is no threat to River Ridge High School and normal operations have resumed.
Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating an anonymous bomb threat—believed to be a swatting call—made towards River Ridge High School in New Port Richey. PSO is actively on scene and coordinating with the facility to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Staff activated the school’s Active Threat Plan, requiring PSO deputies to clear each room on campus. The investigation remains ongoing, and an update will be provided when available.
