East Pasco Education Academy was temporarily on controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution after receiving a report about possible gunshots being heard in the distance, somewhere in the vicinity of the school. After a thorough search of the area, deputies determined there was recreational shooting that occurred off-campus on private property. There is no threat to East Pasco Education Academy, and normal operations have resumed.
