The Pasco Sheriff’s Office uses the website portal GovQA for the processing of its public records requests by citizens, attorneys, businesses, organizations and government agencies. The use of GovQA allows for a uniform, quick, secure and reliable format to request public records, communicate with our Records personnel, follow the progress of your request, and pay for any fees that may be involved, all in one place.
Although we strongly suggest that you submit your public records request via the GovQA portal, you can submit a public records request in person or by contacting this office by phone, fax, email, or regular mail. Please see the contact information below.
If you choose to utilize GovQA to submit your request you can create an account or remain anonymous. You will not be required to identify yourself when making a public records request via any of the above methods.
Requests are processed in the order they are received and in accordance to Florida Statute Chapter 119.
Please read the important information and requirements below BEFORE making any public records requests. This will ensure that we are the agency that maintains the records and you have submitted any potentially required forms depending on your request. Any such forms can be uploaded via the GovQA portal.
Please note: Records on 911 calls and radio transmissions are maintained by Pasco County Emergency Communications, not the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. To request those records, you can link directly to the Pasco County 911 Records Request Form here: https://form.jotform.com/203145361899058.

There MAY be a cost involved for the time it takes to review and redact information that is exempt or confidential pursuant to Florida Statutes. You will be provided a good-faith estimate of any costs prior to review. Once the deposit is received, we will begin our review of your requested documents. The final bill may be higher or lower than the estimate, depending on the actual costs to respond to your request. Records will only be released upon full payment, if costs are involved.
Florida government agencies are NOT required to create records in response to a request or answer questions about the content of a public record. Additional information about Florida’s public record law and exemptions may be found at https://myfloridalegal.com/pages.nsf/Main/.
In addition:
In order to ensure there is no delay in the processing of your request, the PSO Public Records Department needs the PSO report number OR the full name of the person involved, their date of birth, and the location, date, time and type of incident. Missing information or a delay in providing requested information may result in a delay in response.
Victims: If you are a victim, the parent or legal guardian, or legal next-of-kin of a victim of crime, you MUST complete and provide the Marsy’s Law form to receive an unredacted report or the victim’s name and any identifying information about the victim will be redacted from the report.
