This week’s Behind the Badge – Nick Kaller, Customer Service Specialist

This week’s Behind the Badge features Nick Kaller, Customer Service Specialist.

Nick started working for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office four months ago. If you have ever called into the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Customer Service Unit with concerns or a question, there’s a chance you’ve talked to Nick!

Prior to working for the PSO he worked for the New Port Richey Police Department for ten years. The first five years were as a Patrol Officer and the last five as a K9 handler. Three years ago, he was injured on a K9 track, which shortened his time as a road officer. Dedicated to serving and protecting, Nick became a member of the Customer Service Unit at the Pasco Sheriff’s Office in order to assist citizens who have questions or need help. He responds to citizens over the phone and on the web daily while also conducting follow up investigations.

“I enjoy doing what I’m doing!” said Nick, “I’m enjoying still being able to be part of a law enforcement agency. No matter, as small a problem that they think they have, it’s a big deal to me!”

In his life Nick is first and foremost a husband and father. He loves getting to spend time with his family and watch football games. He considers himself a die-hard Bucs fan! Lately he has been having a blast teaching his children how to ride their bikes!

Former Police K9 Roever, and Nick’s partner in crime is now retired and enjoys spending his days with the Kaller family. Although one might not say completely retired, as Nick’s son has officially claimed Roever as his very own Police K9.

In addition to his work for the Sheriff’s Office, Nick is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice from Polk State College.

“It’s just a passion of mine,” stated Nick. “I enjoy all that comes along with it, helping people and especially with this position now. I’m just thankful that I’m still able to contribute to law enforcement!”

We hope you enjoyed getting to know Customer Service Specialist Nick Kaller!
