Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred in the Sierra Center Blvd. area of Wesley Chapel around 6:00 p.m. Preliminary information indicates an altercation between two unknown parties escalated into a shooting, at this time it appears only one shot was fired and no one was struck, there are no reported injuries at this time. The shooting suspect is in custody. This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
