Sheriff's Fees Increase for Service of Process

NEW PORT RICHEY- Beginning July 1, in accordance with Florida Statute 30.231, the fees charged for the service of non-enforceable writs will be charged as listed below.

The fees are non-refundable once service has been requested and the fee has been receipted. All papers received with an incorrect fee will be returned unserved.

NOTE: Fees chargeable to state agencies shall be those fees that were effective under this section on June 30, 2009.

COST DEPOSITS
A cost deposit is required prior to the levy or seizure of any property. The following amounts are minimum deposit requirements and additional monies may be required during the life of the case. Cost deposit checks are to be made out independent of all other fees.

Single craft up to 20 feet

A $250 minimum cost deposit, when required, for Writs of Assistance or Writs of Possession (labor for removing personal property, furniture, etc.).

A minimum cost deposit for locksmith services.

The Sheriff shall be allowed actual expenses for levying, safekeeping, and sale of property under levy. Levy deposits are refundable before a levy is made or after a levy is completed and all outstanding costs and fees are paid.
